Christopher T. Johnson, M.D. Board-Certified Ophthalmologist
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Celina, graduating with honors from Celina High School. He completed his undergraduate work with honors at The Ohio State University and received his medical degree from The University of Toledo College of Medicine. Dr. Johnson then went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Johnson is Board Certified.
Dr. Johnson possesses extensive knowledge of cutting-edge cataract surgery techniques; advanced treatment options for glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma procedures such as Kahook Dual blade and iStent inject. He is also using the new Durysta ocular implant for Glaucoma treatment to reduce the need for drops.
Scott Storck, MD Board-Certified Ophthalmologist
Dr. Scott Storck is a board-certified ophthalmologist who was born and raised in Tipp City, OH. He completed his undergraduate work at Miami University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Zoology. He went on to complete his medical degree at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and graduated with AOA honors. Dr. Storck subsequently completed his ophthalmology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He further continued his ophthalmology training and completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Storck has been practicing ophthalmology in the Miami Valley since 2010. He has extensive experience in treating corneal disease and performing corneal transplants, including DMEK, DSEK, and penetrating keratoplasty. Dr. Storck is a well-regarded cataract surgeon and has performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries, including routine and complex, and uses the latest in surgical and intraocular lens technology to optimize outcomes. His scope of practice also includes the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and has performed several thousand intravitreal injections and laser for these conditions. Dr. Storck is also well versed in the management of glaucoma and offers the latest in laser treatment and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
William E. Schemmel, O.D. Board-Certified Optometrist
Dr. Schemmel is an optometrist board certified by the Ohio State Optometric Board. He received his degree from The Ohio State University in 1992. He served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper and Optometrist in the 82nd Airborne Division, as well as an Optometric Consultant, attached to the 3rdSpecial Forces Group in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that he was a staff optometrist at Womack Army Hospital and the Assistant Chief of Optometry Services, as well as Quality Assurance Coordinator at Ft. Bragg.
Dr. Schemmel has held teaching appointments in the Southern College of Optometry as well as the University of Houston’s College of Optometry.
John J. Wilding Jr., D.O. (Retired)
Dr. Wilding is board certified in Ophthalmology and received his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri. He actively participates in seminars and lectures bringing his patients the most recent advances in vision care. He is a member of the American Academy of Sports Vision, the Columbus Academy of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Ophthalmological Associate of Research to Prevent Blindness.
Dr. Wilding is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Ohio Osteopathic Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Shelby County Medical Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
